Remodeling a home is always a challenge, but when you’re doing it seasonally—and all on your own—it’s a true test of patience. Did I think it would take eight years to finally have a proper kitchen floor? No, absolutely not. But when you only have a few weeks each year to work on projects, things take time.

A Long-Awaited Upgrade

After years of walking on subflooring, I can finally enjoy a real kitchen floor! Not only does it look great, but it’s also much easier to clean—especially since our property has sandy soil that tends to find its way inside. Now, I can simply sweep and wipe up spills without any hassle.

Budget-Friendly, Yet Beautiful

Does the new flooring match the cabinets perfectly? Not exactly. But when you’re working within a budget, you get what you can afford—and honestly, I love it! It brightens up the entire space and makes the kitchen feel fresh and inviting.
